NaNoWriMo, or National (International really) Novel Writing Month is coming up in November The challenge is to write a novel in a month! 'National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing. On November 1, participants begin working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 p.m. on November 30. Valuing enthusiasm, determination, and a deadline, NaNoWriMo is for anyone who has ever thought fleetingly about writing a novel.' There is online support as well as local meetings. We are: A group for writers of all styles and genre residing in and around Vale Royal area in Cheshire.
We do: Really the name says it all. We are a group of writers and would-be writers who meet at 7.30 pm on the first Monday of each month at the Blue Cap Hotel on the A556 in Sandiway near Northwich. Meetings typically involve a writing exercise, the sharing of news and encouragement, and readings by members - optionally with feedback. We have poets and novelists and short story writers, and all genres are accommodated. If you are interested in writing you will be made very welcome.
